My name is Kara Morrow and I am currently attending Edinboro University as a special education major. I have worked with special needs children practically my whole high school career I would volunteer my study halls and spare time to the emotional support room in my high school and that is where my aspirations to teach came from. I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of our future children and I wanted to give back to my community. I am also the oldest of three children I have a younger brother and sister and I am very involved in their lives. They are my world and I would do anything for them.
My aspirations in teaching include:
-I want to go above and beyond in the ways I help the children I teach.
-I want to come up with fun and creative teaching styles that are not only fun for the students but fun for the teacher as well.
-I want to show kids how they can reach their full potential and have fun learning.
-I want to help kids realize that school can be a fun place and not somewhere they feel obligated to be.
- I want to help the students realize and find what they are passionate about and be a mentor like so many of my teachers where to me.
- I want to be the best teacher I can possibly be.
The things I hope to share through this blog are my learning experiences, my progress, my goals, my obstacles, and how i overcome those obstacles.
